It's true! This Sunday will be the last yoga in the park session. The best venue, at least in my estimation, has been Massey Memorial Park i n Shelley Bay. So that's also where our last meet will be. Following the yoga, we'll have a picnic in the park. So bring something to eat and drink along with your sunblock. Should be fun! See you there!
This month marks the end of the Park Yoga series. Tomorrow's meet will be at Dorrie Leslie Park, Island Bay (along Queen's Drive). I call it the "Easter Island Park" because of the fake statue situated on it. It can be quite breezy there though. So it will only be there if weather and wind conditions allow. Otherwise, Cable Car location at the Botanic Gardens will be the spot. Check in tomorrow for details.

I was beginning to believe it couldn't happen. But after more than a month of cancelations, we finally made it to the park for yoga. Yup, we laid our mats down on the grass and flowed through an hour of yoga with the sun naturally creating an atmosphere of a "hot yoga" class. Feels fabulous to be back into outdoor yoga!
Let's meet at Ataturk Park tomorrow for yoga (1 pm). Directions are on the last blog. Gather at the carpark, and we'll yoga by the beach. AND IT'S ACTUALLY SUPPOSED TO BE SUNNY ON SUNDAY!!
Tomorrow's yoga meet is at Ataturk Memorial Park. Well, actually it's across the street from there. There's plenty of park and views of the ocean. Gorgeous! If you've never been, the park is just past the airport on Moa Point Road. Let's meet at the carpark at the base of the memorial for 1pm and yoga by the beach!
Hi all! I'm on holiday with the rest of you this weekend, so there won't be a club meet this Sunday. It will be back on track next week though, and I'll be hoping for some sun and a great turnout to breath some life back into it. I'm sure we'll have a great run of it in February! Enjoy Anniversary Day.
As you know, every Sunday the yoga club meets for what's meant to be a glorious summer afternoon in a random park in Welly, moving through sun salutations to our heart's content. Well, the weather in good old Welly has not exactly been cooperating with us of late. Those sun salutations seem like a misnomer. Maybe you've even found yourself wondering if we've been doing them wrong all this time. Don't give up hope! We will once again get to lie in the green, green grass under blue skies sometime this summer. For now, I will tentatively plan to hold a yoga class tomorrow in the botanic gardens by the cafe and rose garden (at the usual time of 1pm).
I'll leave you with a quote often cited by my favourite yoga teacher "May we be like the lotus, at home in the muddy waters." Never more appropriate.
